FL!P is flipping out … Kathryn’s back from maternity leave!
Kathryn is a former NCAA division 1 scholarship swimmer and Canadian national swimmer, an experienced physiotherapist and a proud new Mom. These experiences have lead to her unprecedented level of caring, empathy, devotion and proficiency. She is happy, upbeat, compassionate and encouraging! She just exudes FL!Pness: focused, loyal, inspirational and personable. Kathryn is passionate in helping you overcome and prevent injuries and will work hard to help you enjoy your active life.
Kathryn graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honors, and went on to complete her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in French. She is continually advancing her physiotherapy skills, including attaining Level AAI certified in medical acupuncture (CAFCI), a Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Level 1 from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, and is Certified FMS Level 1 & 2.
Kathryn was an NCAA and Canadian National level swimmer, Three-Year Varsity Letter Recipient, Honorable mention Scholar All-American, Big Ten Conference Team Member and event finalist, US and Canadian National qualifier, NCAA qualifier, and competed at Canadian Olympic trials. These exciting experiences as an elite swimmer taught her that early intervention and injury prevention are the keys to a strong athletic performance.
She has loads of experience working with people of all ages and athletic levels. With her impressive academic background, clinical experience and continuing education courses Kathryn uses manual therapy techniques, muscle release, acupuncture and home exercises to work towards patient goals of decreasing pain, increasing range of motion, strength and function for quick return to sport and daily activities.
Kathryn is committed to one-on-one, quality evidence-based care, and to empowering you with the tools and education to avoid re-injury, whatever your recreational or athletic goals.
Kathryn is a Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
